Founded in 1996, by friends Ali Mejia and Mariela Rovito, the Eberjey brand was born to fill a gap in the lingerie market between the overtly sexy styles of the era and those go-to, comfy casuals. They wanted to create a line of everyday lingerie in which a woman could be her natural sensual self with garments that would feel comfy and look effortlessly lovely. In essence: “Lingerie that allows you to just be you”. The Eberjey brand has since continued to prove time and again that sexy and comfortable can quite easily go hand in hand.
The twosome went on to grow their collection and create not only it’s signature comfortable, luxurious, and fashion forward lingerie, but also swim, lounge, and sleepwear including the now famous, cult-favourite, Gisele PJ’s (more on those below!). It is in this growth that Eberjey has come to see itself as more than just a brand, it’s a way of living. The brand is grounded by the simple premise that we should be genuine - “genuine to connect to ourselves and our sensuality”. Their mantra is like a song singing out the vital benefits of having an open heart, relaxed mind, and a joy filled life!

The soft and comfy feeling of Eberjey’s sleepwear comes from Lenzing Modal, a fiber that is harvested through sustainable methods in a closed loop system. The brand is fully aware of their potential to create eco-conscious products and also uses such sustainable textiles as, Bamboo, Q-Nova Recycled Nylon, and Organic Pima Cotton. They also contribute to global reforestation efforts through their “Giving PJ’s” initiative by planting a tree for every set of PJ’s sold as part of their partnership with One Tree Planted. “We continue our journey by transitioning our fabrics, processes, and packaging to more responsible options and committing to reduce our overall footprint” - eberjey.
